General Statement of Duties
Assists the Baseball Director with instruction, supervision, administration duties, program management, set-up and clean-up for the fall baseball clinics.
The fall baseball clinics are offered to children ages eight (8) to twelve (12) years old.
Program runs: twice per week, from last week of August to last week of October.
Season: 8 weeks, 4-6 hours per week
Qualifications
Considerable baseball coaching and/or instructional experience preferred.
Must have or be willing to update/obtain CPR/AED and First Aid Certification. Parks and Recreation Department can provide training for applicants that requite certification or renewal.
Must be at least 18 years of age and must pass a background check.
Job Description
In the absence of the Director, serves as the primary contact for baseball and fulfill the required responsibilities of the Director.
Organizes participant emergency information and keeps updated roster on hand.
Administers emergency response and first aid if needed.
Reports all incidents to the Director.
Conducts baseball drills and demonstrates skills.
Role models and encourages good sportsmanship.
Ensures that all equipment is set-up and removed before and after each session.
