Love animals? Enjoy rescue? King's Harvest No-Kill Pet Rescue is looking for an Assistant Director for our shelter that intakes approximately 1400 animals per year. The Assistant Director must have one year of professional experience working with animals as well as, medical background with dogs and cats. The Assistant Director must have at least one year of experience in management. The Assistant Director will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively with the community, veterinarians and other rescues.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, supervise and provide adequate training to staff and volunteers.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization.
- Ensure all daily tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Implement policies and procedures to ensure proper care, health, and safety for animals as well as, ensure compliance with Department of Agriculture and state regulations.
- Plan and coordinate events and fundraisers.
- Manage and create social media content to promote adoptions and raise awareness.
- Take inventory of supplies and place orders as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
