Five Towns College, located in Dix Hills, NY, is seeking a dedicated and experienced food service professional to serve as the Assistant Director for Food Services with responsibility for weekend operations.
This part-time position plays a key leadership role in ensuring smooth, high-quality food service on Saturdays and Sundays. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead a small team effectively.
Responsibilities include supervising weekend dining operations, overseeing food preparation and service, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, managing inventory needs, supporting staff, and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment. The Assistant Director will also serve as the primary point of contact for any customer concerns that arise during the weekend.
Candidates should have prior supervisory or management experience in a food service setting, with preference given to those who have worked in higher education or institutional dining. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential.
This is a weekend position requiring consistent availability on Saturdays and Sundays. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
