Downtown, 55-seat cafe currently hiring a PROFESSIONAL morning/afternoon Lead Bartender/Server. Must be friendly, outgoing, reliable, possess a catalog of wine, beer and spirit knowledge. Must also be able to delegate daily responsibilities of service staff as well as politely and calmly handle a hungry crowd of patrons.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Open Bar
- Prep, Stock and rotate beer, wine, spirits, fruit and pickles
- Prepare simple syrups and Bloody Mary Mix
- Prepare hot cocoa mix
- Assist servers in opening cafe
- Greet and seat guests
- Assist with Prebussing and bussing tables
- Serve patrons who sit at the bar
- Prepare beer, wine and cocktails as ordered by servers
- Managing servers and assuring that they are properly managing guest expectations, serving guests in a timely manner, pre-bussing tables, keeping coolers clean and organized etc.
- Check out servers at the end of their shift assuring that all side work has been completed
- Clean and organize bar cooler
- Work closely with management staff in order to maintain, quality, organization, sensitization, cleanliness and efficiency
Must be TIPS certified or equivalent
Typical schedule is 8:30am-4pm. Only candidates who are seeking year round employment will be considered.
