Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant General Manager (AGM) to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in restaurant management and hospitality, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing staff, budgets, and overall guest experiences while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities.
- Develop and implement effective strategies for budgeting, cost control, and financial performance.
- Oversee kitchen management, ensuring food quality, presentation, and safety standards are met.
- Manage bar operations, including inventory control and staff training on beverage service.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective shift management and team development.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Handle cash management procedures accurately to ensure financial integrity.
- Collaborate with staff to create a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the dining experience.
- Conduct regular training sessions to improve staff performance in hospitality management practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, cash handling, and financial reporting.
- Experience in kitchen management with an understanding of food safety regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to lead by example.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with both staff and customers.
- Ability to work flexible hours, and weekends as needed. 50-55 hour average work week
- A passion for hospitality with a focus on creating memorable experiences for guests.
