Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, enhancing customer satisfaction, and driving sales performance. Duties
- Assist the General Manager in managing store operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Oversee cash register operations, ensuring accurate transactions and cash handling procedures.
- Support wireless sales initiatives by training staff on product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Maintain organized inventory control processes to optimize stock levels and minimize losses.
- Participate in recruiting, training, and developing team members to foster a high-performing workforce.
- Manage daily staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Collaborate with team members to implement promotional strategies that drive sales growth.
- Monitor store performance metrics and assist in developing action plans for improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a retail environment, preferably in a grocery store setting or similar industry.
- Strong understanding of retail math principles for effective inventory management and sales analysis.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Proficiency with cash register systems and financial transactions.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in wireless sales is a plus but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively as an Assistant Manager or similar role.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and staff.
