Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order in our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike while helping assist our Housekeeping team. This position requires a strong commitment to quality service and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including guest rooms, common areas, and restrooms.
- Conduct floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and carpet cleaning to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Launder linens and towels, ensuring they are fresh and well-presented for guests.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and requests promptly and courteously.
- Assist in commercial cleaning tasks as needed, including deep cleaning projects and special events.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment issues to management.
- Follow established safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
- Proficiency in floor care techniques and equipment operation.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
- Experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial services is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and safety procedures.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Basic cooking skills are a plus for preparing light meals or snacks when necessary.
- Previous experience in housekeeping management is advantageous for those looking to advance their careers.
