Key Responsibilities:
Child Care & Interaction:
Provide responsive and loving care to infants, ensuring their basic needs (feeding, diapering, napping) are consistently met.
- Assist in engaging infants in developmentally appropriate activities that encourage exploration and growth.
- Support a nurturing, Christ-centered environment that models God’s love to every child.
- Classroom Support:
Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing daily routines and classroom activities.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in compliance with state regulations and Keystone STARS standards.
- Monitor children’s behavior and development, communicating observations to the Lead Teacher.
- Team Collaboration:
Work cooperatively with the Lead Teacher and other staff to ensure a unified and supportive classroom.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development as required.
- Step in to assist in other classrooms or with duties as needed.
- Communication:
Maintain positive, professional, and compassionate communication with parents, children, and staff.
- Support the Lead Teacher in providing daily feedback and updates to families.
- Health & Safety:
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures consistently.
- Assist in documenting any incidents or concerns in a timely manner and alert the Lead Teacher or Director as needed.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of experience working with children.- Preferred Associate degree (AA) or Chld Development Associate (CDA) in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Minimum 2,500 hours of childcare experience or equivalent coursework
- Must successfully pass all background checks including fingerprinting and reference checks.
