Independent owned restaurant for 40 years is looking for assistant kitchen supervisors We are a polished casual restaurant with over 300 seats in dining room and 120 seat banquet room. We are located 75 miles from Chicago and near the busiest state park in Illinois, Starved Rock. LaSalle is located on the crossroads of interstates 39 & 80. This is an opportunity in preparing the area's most diverse menu consisting of: hand cut steaks and seafood, made from scratch dressings and sauces, fresh made entrees and desserts. The menu features seasonal ingredients, staying on top of food trends and local menu favorites. We are seeking a motivated kitchen supervisor to help oversee our kitchen operations and ensure the high standards of food quality we have provided for 40 years. As a kitchen supervisor, you will be responsible for managing kitchen staff, ordering supplies, and ensuring the efficient operations of our kitchen. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about food and has experience in a fast paced kitchen environment.
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes.
- Oversee kitchen staff and ensure efficient operations during the shift.
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Assist with menu planning and development.
- Order and manage inventory.
- Train and develop kitchen staff.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
Experience:
- Proven experience in a kitchen environment, including supervisory experience.
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must be available nights and weekends.
