Assistant Manager - Central Perk Coffee Co.
Central Perk, inspired by the legendary FRIENDS hang-out, is a modern-day coffeehouse on Newbury St. in the historic Back Bay neighborhood of Boston, MA. We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join and grow with our team. The AM will play a vital role in managing day-to-day operations, providing exceptional hospitality, and developing our team members. This is a full-time hourly position for someone who is looking for growth opportunity’s.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the team in providing superior hospitality through coaching and customer feedback.
- Work with the General Manager to recruit, interview, and hire qualified staff to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to train staff on the menu and procedures.
- Maintain cafe cleanliness and organization.
- Work with the General Manager to oversee staff scheduling and time management.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer feedback and concerns.
- Promote a respectful work environment and adherence to legal and operational requirements.
- Work with the General Manager to build and execute thoughtful schedules to meet store labor targets.
- Ensure effective succession planning by identifying and developing future leaders with an interest and potential to grow.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to achieve store goals.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of management experience in the food service industry.
- Availability for early mornings, closing shifts, holidays, and weekends.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate and lead by example.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and perform under pressure.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong time-management skills.
