Assistant Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager to join our team in a dynamic dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in food service, particularly in fine dining or quick service fast food restaurants. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations and staff management.
• Supervise and train staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new team members.
• Manage inventory control to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing waste.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Monitor POS systems for accuracy in transactions and reporting.
• Coordinate banquet services and special events as needed.
• Support financial management by tracking sales data and assisting with budget planning.

Skills

• Experience as an Assistant Manager or similar role in the food service industry is preferred but not necessary.
• Knowledge of fine dining standards, quick service operations, and kitchen management is preferred but not necessary.
• Supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and lead effectively.
• Proficient in interviewing techniques to select qualified candidates for various positions.
• Familiarity with inventory control practices to optimize stock levels.
• Competence in using POS systems for transaction processing and reporting.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with guests and staff.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.25 per hour
