Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Develop and follow individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Provide meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.
Skills
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to implement them effectively.
- Experience in home care or senior care settings is preferred.
- Strong cooking skills for meal preparation tailored to dietary needs.
- Familiarity with first aid procedures and medication administration protocols.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy and compassion.
- Background in nursing or social work is a plus but not mandatory.
