Job Overview
The Assistant Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving sales and enhancing customer satisfaction within our health club environment. The Assistant Sales Manager will collaborate closely with the Sales Manager to implement effective sales programs, train staff, and ensure that our clients receive exceptional service.
Duties
- Assist in developing and executing sales strategies to meet or exceed club membership goals.
- Train and mentor sales staff on effective selling techniques and customer engagement.
- Conduct tours of the facility for prospective members, highlighting key features and benefits.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of health club programs, services, and promotions to effectively communicate with potential clients.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to management.
- Foster relationships with existing members to encourage renewals and referrals.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote special events and programs that drive membership growth.
- Ensure the sales area is well-organized, welcoming, and equipped with necessary materials.
Skills
- Proven experience in sales, preferably within a health club or fitness environment.
- Strong knowledge of program design, physiology, body mechanics, and anatomy to effectively communicate the benefits of fitness programs.
- Experience in personal training, group fitness, or sports coaching is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clientele.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative.
- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tracking tools.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
