NOPA Montessori is a nurturing early childhood education environment serving up to 60 children with a team of 15 staff members. Compensation: We offer a competitive compensation package with a salary range of $25-$29 an hour depending on relevant experience. In addition we offer:

Position Overview:
NOPA Montessori is seeking to hire a full-time, loving, warm, and passionate educator to join our supportive team. The Montessori Assistant Guide works in collaboration with the Lead Guide to prepare and maintain the classroom environment, including cleaning, arranging and stocking classroom materials. You will be a crucial part of fostering a loving, supportive, and calm community. Our staff is committed to children’s success, safety, and development as independent, joyous learners. We’re committed to nurturing our community of parents, students, staff, and teachers. You will receive on the job training!
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise children between the ages of 2.5 and 5 years old inside the classroom and during park outings
- Keep the environment in order: clean, supplied and in good repair
- Collaborate and communicate with classroom staff and administration
- Be available for work Monday through Friday, 9:15am-6:00pm
Qualifications:
- Experience working with young children between 2.5 and 6 years old in a classroom setting (preschool, daycare, or Montessori experience a plus).
- Love of children and families
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Flexibility and a positive attitude
- High School Diploma or GED
- 12 ECE Credits (Minimum of 6 units completed and enrolled in 6 additional units)
- Must have oral and written proficiency in the English language
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Criminal and Background Clearance
- Authorized to work in the US (We cannot sponsor visa’s at this time)
