Job Title: Assistant Property Manager
Reports To: Property Manager
Summary:
The Assistant Property Manager supports the Property Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the apartment complex. This role is responsible for assisting with leasing, resident relations, rent collection, maintenance coordination, and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assist with leasing activities, including showing apartments, processing applications, and preparing lease agreements.
· Support resident relations by responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and ensuring a high level of customer service.
· Collect rent payments, issue receipts, and assist with delinquency follow-up.
· Coordinate maintenance requests, communicate with vendors, and ensure timely completion of work orders.
· Maintain accurate records, including resident files, lease documents, and financial reports.
· Assist with property inspections, move-in/move-out processes, and enforcement of community policies.
· Help organize resident events and community activities.
· Support marketing efforts, including online listings and social media updates.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Property Manager.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in property management, leasing, or customer service is highly desirable.
Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office, ability to multitask and prioritize, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
Physical Requirements: Ability to tour the property, including walking, standing, and climbing stairs as needed.
Working Conditions:
· Work is performed in both office and property settings.
· Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required for emergencies or resident events.
