Assistant Warehouse Manager

The Assistant Warehouse Manager will play a key role by help oversee inventory, support field technician logistics, and ensure that tools, materials, and supplies are always available, properly stored, and efficiently distributed

Responsibilities

Inventory & Materials Management

• Assist with parts quoting/ordering for field technicians
• Assist with receiving, labeling, and organizing incoming materials and supplies
• Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management or tracking software
• Monitor stock levels
• Ensure regular cycle counts are being completed and reviewed with Warehouse Manager

Warehouse Operations

• Help coordinate the daily loading and unloading of equipment and supplies for field crews
• Ensure that all materials and tools are clean, functional, and safely stored
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the warehouse
• Assist with unused material returns, damaged goods, and warranty returns to vendors

Team & Communication

• Support the Warehouse Manager in supervising warehouse staff and drivers
• Communicate with technicians, dispatchers, and management regarding inventory needs and logistics
• Help train new warehouse employees on procedures and safety protocols

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce warehouse safety standards and procedures
• Report any safety hazards, incidents, or equipment issues to the Warehouse Manager
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies

Pay and benefits

• Pay: $54,000 – $63,000/annually (eligible for overtime over 40 hours/week)
• Schedule: Monday - Friday or Tuesday – Saturday 8:00am – 5:00pm

• At least 2 years management/supervisory experience
• 4+ years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory role (home service or construction industry preferred
• Basic knowledge of tools, parts, and materials commonly used in trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Forklift certification a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional trade or logistics training is a bonus
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
