Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in Real Property Transactions or Landlord Tenant Law. This role requires excellent legal drafting skills, the ability to negotiate effectively, and a commitment to providing exceptional legal services to our clients. The Associate Attorney will work closely with senior attorneys and clients, conducting thorough research and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements with precision and attention to detail.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients while advocating for their best interests.
- Stay informed about changes in Real Estate Transactions and the RLTA to provide accurate advice.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and assist in trial preparation as needed.
- Maintain organized case files and documentation using Westlaw and other legal research tools.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain legal processes and provide updates on case status.
- Attend court hearings and represent clients in various legal proceedings as required.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Washington State Bar association in good standing.
- Strong knowledge of Zoom Court Proceedings.
- Proficiency in legal drafting and negotiation skills is essential.
- Familiarity with MYCASE legal platform.
- Housing Justice Project Experience highly desireable.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and regulations.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on client interaction.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
