Spectrolab, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company’s Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business unit has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Equipment Maintenance Specialist (Level B) to join our dynamic team in Sylmar, California.

Spectrolab is the world’s leading merchant supplier of the highest efficiency multijunction solar cells for spacecraft power systems, with proven reliability drawn from 65 years of space heritage. Spectrolab’s state-of-the-art space solar cells and panels power satellites in Earth’s orbit, as well as the International Space Station.

Position Responsibilities:

Repairs and maintains equipment and demonstrates experience in these area

  • Develops and monitors preventative maintenance plan

  • Performs complex troubleshooting, analysis, inspection, disassembly, rebuild, modification and testing of factory machinery and equipment as necessary using knowledge in areas such as mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatic

  • Works with electrical systems and electronic components of complex industrial machinery and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specification

  • Responds to and provides guidance related to routine and complex requests for equipment repai

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

More than 1 year of experience in maintaining electrical, electronics or hydraulic equipment, preferably in a manufacturing environmen

  • Experience with Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition (MOCVD) reactor

  • Experience in vacuum system maintenanc

  • Experience carrying out maintenance procedures while wearing SCBA supplied air protective equipmen

  • Electrical knowledge and component level diagnostic

  • Experience in maintenance or repair of industrial equipment (semi-conductor processing, thermal chambers, automated handling, robotic equipment etc.

  • Ability to create or maintain a periodic maintenance program in a production environmen

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).

Relocation:

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 5% of the time.

Summary pay range: $49,300 - $66,700
