The Chapel of Cypress Cove is seeking an experienced associate pastor to assist with the preparation and delivery of weekly church services. His or her primary function will consist of serving as a liturgist and, at least once a month, delivering the sermon. Other responsibilities include assisting with the administrative duties and preparation of the weekly service. In addition, the chapel also has a music fund, which provides 6 to 8, high quality musical presentations each year. The duties will include visiting chapel members at the lodge, our on campus skilled nursing facility. The congregation.consists of approximately 70 members and supporters, with services held in Edison Hall, a community auditorium, which is converted to a church like setting every Sunday, featuring a small choir And a pianist/organist. Weekly services are also delivered via in-house television to residence of the entire Cypress Cove community. The likely candidate is currently serving a church and nearing retirement or is already retired.
