Job Summary:
Responsible for the Attendance Program at assigned medical center. Provide consultative services to managers in the administration of the SCAL Attendance Program and policies/ laws related to FMLA, CESLA. Implement plans to improve medical center Attendance results.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Reviews Attendance reports and identifies areas with attendance issues.
- Consults with Managers and Labor in the review of Attendance patterns, excessive use, and guidelines.
- Educates and supports Managers and Labor regarding Corrective Action process and Attendance Conversations with employees.
- Consults Managers regarding the proper process for Attendance tracking and documentation.
- Educate and train managers, supervisors, and employees regarding KP SCAL Attendance Program (e.g., Attendance Guidelines, Employee/Manager responsibilities, Employee recognition, etc.).
- Monitors and analyzes Attendance results, provides Managers and Labor department specific data, and reviews Attendance performance.
- Evaluates metrics, develops intervention results based upon analysis, and reports findings with Regional and Local medical center leadership.
- Co-Leads/Participates in Local Labor Management Partnership Attendance Sub-Committee, Department meetings providing and presenting overall trends, findings and action plans.
- Collaborates, educates and advises managers, TIME System Coordinators, TIME Approvers, and employees regarding TIME Codes, proper TIME coding usage, and statutory and protected leaves.
- Partners and ensures effective hand-offs and collaboration with Local HR Disability Management team and other HR Resources.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
- Two (2) years' experience.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Human Resources (or related field) or four (4) years of directly related experience.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
- N/A
Additional Requirements:
- Human Resources experience.
- Experience in tracking, monitoring, and consulting toward program/project performance improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Consulting and leadership skills.
- Proficient with PC applications.
- Must be able to work in a Labor-Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of KP TIME system and TIME Keeping Codes, statutory and protected leaves (e.g., FMLA CESLA, etc.), and labor/employment laws and collective bargaining agreements.
- Professional HR (PHR) certification.
- Certification in General HR through HR/Educational Associations.
