JOB FUNCTIONS:

Patient Care & Experience

● Handle timely and empathetic responses to patient texts, calls, and emails on behalf of providers—with a goal of not just replying, but resolving

● Deliver an exceptional, compassionate patient experience Hearing Aid Related Tasks

● Send out hearing aids, track order, check function, and coordinate timely delivery to patients with Audiologist supervision

● As allowed by state law, perform routine cleaning of hearing aids

● Perform hearing aid orientation, including basic care and use of the hearing aid

● Demonstrate and sell Assistive Listening Devices

● Maintain hearing aid supplies and order as needed

Rooming Patients

● Prepare rooms for patients according to procedure, to include equipment needed and cleaning per infection control protocol

● Shut down all equipment in the hearing aid booth, fitting room, lab and diagnostics room, and verify all rooms are clean at the end of the day

Marketing & Growth Support

● Support physician and community outreach, marketing collateral, and social media

● Pull mailing lists, order materials, prep for events, and scheduling

● Assist with event logistics such as ordering food/drinks, reserving venues, preparing materials, etc.

Miscellaneous Duties

● Perform front office duties on an as needed basis

● Assist with marketing activities

● Assist patients with exchanges or returns as needed

● Manage inventory

● Provide excellent customer service and maintain good public relations

● Perform all other miscellaneous duties as assigned

In addition to professional responsibilities, the Audiologist Tech/Assistant will be part of a team engaging in marketing outreach and growing positive relationships with colleagues, vendors, fellow healthcare practitioners, and community organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

● High school diploma or GED, prefer some college coursework in speech and/or hearing sciences

● One-year experience in a healthcare environment preferred

● Excellent interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population. This includes listening, sales, and problem- solving skills

● Strong keyboard/computer experience

● Must be able to organize time and prioritize numerous duties within strict deadlines

● Must be able to travel outside the state for professional development opportunities as required by the practice

● Eyesight and dexterity must be adequate to see and manipulate small parts and print with or without magnification or assistive tools

● Requires the ability to deal with numerous interruptions

● Must be detail oriented

Job Type: Full-time, Onsite

Pay Rate: This position starting pay can range considerably depending on prior work experience and licensure/certification. The pay range could start at $19-23/hour or more.

Office Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:45AM to 5:00 PM, Friday 7:45 AM to 2:30 PM
