Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our physical therapy office, focusing on managed care processes and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding, and records management to support our healthcare professionals effectively.
Duties
- Coordinate patient care activities and manage scheduling to optimize workflow within the office.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information.
- Perform insurance verification to confirm coverage and eligibility for services.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with established protocols.
- Utilize knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10 for accurate billing and coding processes.
- Assist in the management of medical records, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible.
Experience
- Previous experience in a managed care environment is preferred.
- Medical office experience is essential, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding practices.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations is required to ensure compliance in all aspects of patient care.
- Experience with insurance verification processes is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9 and ICD-10), and medical records management is necessary for this role.
- Prior office experience that demonstrates organizational skills and attention to detail will be beneficial.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
