Some of the duties and responsibilities of this job includes:
- Selling used cars as well as financing and extended warranties.
- Demonstrating vehicles and their features/options to customers
- Reporting to management on sales, calls, activities, reviews and analyses.
- Meeting customers face to face and holding sales discussions with them.
- Will do ALL paperwork necessary for a sale (bill of sale, title, finance contract, etc.)
- Following-up in-bound telephone inquiries, walk in prospects and emails inquiries.
- Arranging appointments via Internet & Phone Leads.
- Cold calling up qualified sales prospects.
- Communicating with the mechanic, detail, and body shop to ensure that vehicle repairs are carried out quickly.
- Locate and order necessary parts for vehicle reconditioning.
- Ensure that customers understand the vehicle’s operating features, paperwork and warranty.
- Develop buyers by keeping good rapport with previous and new customers; also by suggesting trade-ins; respond to inquiries; recommend vehicles & warranties.
- Handling personal item inventory reports on repossessed vehicles.
- Taking customer payments, posting payment information, and handling collections.
- Fielding customer account/payment inquiries and promises to pay.
- Will have to maintain a cash drawer and balance with receipts at the end of every day (from taking payments).
