Job Summary
Our Volkswagen Team is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, guiding them through their automotive service needs while ensuring a high level of satisfaction. Your expertise in automotive services will help facilitate effective communication between customers and technicians, ensuring that all service requests are handled efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs.
- Provide detailed explanations of recommended services and repairs.
- Prepare accurate estimates for services including auto body repair, shocks and struts, and general vehicle maintenance.
- Maintain clear and open communication with customers throughout the service process.
- Handle cash transactions and manage customer accounts effectively.
- Document all services performed and ensure proper service writing for technician reference.
- Collaborate with the service team to align on customer needs and service capabilities.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to answer customer inquiries related to vehicle performance and maintenance.
- Assist in automotive sales by promoting relevant products and services.
Skills
- Strong understanding of automotive service processes, including auto estimating and vehicle maintenance.
- Proficient in cash handling and managing financial transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-experts.
- Experience in service writing, ensuring that all customer interactions are documented accurately.
- Familiarity with auto body repair techniques and alignment processes is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of "CDK" and "Xtime" a plus but not required.
