What You’ll Do
As a Midas General Service Technician, you’ll take on a wide range of responsibilities, including:
- Performing complete digital visual safety and courtesy inspections.
- Testing parts and systems to ensure proper operations
- Mounting, balancing, and rotating tires.
- Replacing batteries, bulbs, belts, and hoses.
- Repairing or replacing components such as brake pads, tires, belts, and water pumps.
- Performing preventative maintenance services including oil changes and tune-ups.
- Handling more complex jobs (Diagnostics, repairs).
- Test-driving vehicles to verify quality of repairs.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Staying eager to learn new skills and grow in the trade.
- Prior knowledge of automotive basics (ASE Certification preferred but not required).
- Familiarity with shop equipment and tools.
- Solid mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Capability to perform repairs efficiently and accurately.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals and work orders.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Eagerness to learn and improve.
- A team-first mindset.
- Thoroughness in courtesy inspections with a focus on maintenance.
- Respectful attitude with coworkers and customers.
