Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires a strong focus on customer service, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
Duties
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Assist servers by providing support during busy service periods, including refilling drinks and clearing tables.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order status and any special requests from guests.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and ensure proper handling of food items at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during service hours, including assisting with food preparation when necessary.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Experience in banquet service or catering is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Excellent communication skills to relay information clearly between kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
