Role Description
This is a part-time remote role for a Node.js Developer. The Node.js Developer will be responsible for back-end web development tasks. Daily responsibilities include writing and maintaining code, collaborating with cross-functional teams, debugging and troubleshooting issues, and implementing new features.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Build and maintain scalable, secure, and performant backend services using Node.js.
- Collaborate with front-end and mobile developers (Flutter) to implement features and APIs.
- Write clean, modular, and testable code.
- Participate in sprint planning, standups, and code reviews.
- Optimize for scalability and performance as the user base grows.
What We’re Looking For:
- Must be based in the United States — no exceptions.
- 5+ years of experience with Node.js and backend architecture.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, authentication (OAuth2/JWT), and database integration (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Experience working in startup or agile environments.
- Strong communication skills and a self-starter mindset.
- Bonus: Experience with Flutter or cross-platform development teams.
