About the Baker Role:
Bakers are the foundation to our business. They are smart and thoughtful. They are experts on our recipes, as well as our production process. They are quick movers, and focused on making the most delicious food that they can!
What we are looking for:
- 24-40 hours a week, more hours available in peak seasons (summer and late-Fall/holiday seasons)
-Common Hours: 7am-3pm
· - An experienced, professional baker with minimum 4 years in a commercial bakery REQUIRED
· - A strong work ethic
· -A personality that adjusts well to change and that thrives in a fast paced environment.
· - An ability to work and get along with many different types of personalities
· - Ability to work quickly and cleanly
· - An strong ability to organize lists and multitask
· - Passion for beautiful dessert
· - Looking for a long term position and willing to commit to a minimum of one year
· - Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
· - Ability to adapt to new software and technology
· - The ability to lift 50lbs regularly
· - Drivers license and comfortable driving on all Seattle area roads
· - Team members must obtain Food Handlers Card
You will be responsible for:
- Sweet Bites Production (including French Macarons, brownies/bars, cheesecake, meringues, etc, etc)
- Cake Production (this a large part of our business)
- Standard and Custom Cookie Production
- Create Fillings & Buttercreams
- Assist Shop Manager in any additional needs
Job Perks
- Pay Package: $22 an hour base pay. Plus a company-wide tip share program (this adds average $2-4 an hour on average)
