Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive dance lesson plans tailored to various skill levels.
- Instruct students in various dance styles, ensuring proper techniques and safety measures are adhered to.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively, promoting respect, discipline, and enthusiasm among students.
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages student participation and personal growth.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
- Collaborate with other instructors to plan performances, recitals, or showcases.
- Engage with parents or guardians regarding student development and class activities.
- Stay updated on current trends in dance education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
Experience
- Previous experience in teaching dance or related fields is preferred.
- Strong background in various dance styles (e.g., ballet, jazz, hip-hop) is essential.
- Experience in classroom management and lesson planning is highly valued.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and special education techniques is a plus.
- Ability to educate effectively while fostering an inclusive atmosphere for all students.
- Experience in theater or performance arts can enhance the instructional approach.
