Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a reliable Band Saw Operator to join our Prefab department, turning raw materials into high-quality components used by our welders to fabricate products. The ideal candidate is familiar with basic hand and power tools, and experience with sanders, drills, or iron workers is a plus. We will be providing on-the-job training.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Set up and operate machines to saw, cut, drill, and bend materials according to work orders and production schedules, ensuring accuracy in material size, cut dimensions, and tolerances
- Follow standardized work processes and maintain correct production documentation
- Perform minor machine maintenance, including blade replacement, oiling equipment, and consumable replenishment
- Inspect and measure finished workpieces to ensure accuracy and quality
- Perform daily cleaning and upkeep of machines to optimize performance
- Manage inventory of raw materials, components, and consumables to ensure continuous availability
- Produce consistent, high-quality work, meeting daily production goals with minimal supervision
- Safely lift and move items over 50 pounds as required
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, bills of materials, weld symbols, and written or verbal instructions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety protocols
- Assist with overall department and production needs as required, contributing to team goals and operational success.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
- Lift, carry, push, and/or pull 1-50 lbs. frequently
- Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, crawl, twist/turn, grasp, and reach overhead and outward frequently
- Sit, stand, and walk for 1-10 hours per day
- Work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, eye protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing
Required Experience:
- Manufacturing: 1-2 years (preferred)
- Band Saw Operating: 1-2 years (preferred)
- Tape Measuring: 1-2 years (preferred)
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with a 1-hour lunch break
Work Location: In-person, Lexington, SC 29073
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
