Job Summary:
Prairie View Golf Club is seeking a friendly and professional Server for our Bar & Grill provide exceptional dining experiences for our members and guests. This role is responsible for taking and serving food and beverage orders, maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment, and ensuring that all patrons have an enjoyable visit. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic team player with a passion for hospitality and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, and transmit them to the kitchen or bar staff.
- Serve food and drinks promptly and correctly.
- Check on guest satisfaction throughout their meal and promptly address any concerns or requests.
- Process payments, including cash and credit card transactions, and manage the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all dining areas, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down dining areas for daily service and special events.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding food safety and responsible alcohol service.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other team members to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Perform all opening and closing duties as assigned by management.
- May be required to serve on a beverage cart on the golf course as business needs dictate.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a server in a restaurant, country club, or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a positive and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques and procedures.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift heavy trays (up to 25-50 pounds).
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
- ServSafe and/or Alcohol Server Certification is an asset.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull food, beverages, and other items.
- This position may require working in both indoor and outdoor settings.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $7.00 - $8.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
