Earl’s Landing, part of the Mason Jar Group, is seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant General Manager with exceptional bar knowledge and leadership skills. About the Role:
As the Assistant General Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee the daily operations of the restaurant and bar. Your strong background in bar operations will be essential in driving beverage program excellence, maintaining inventory controls, training staff, and ensuring flawless execution of service.
We’re looking for a motivated leader who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about hospitality. You’ll be expected to lead by example, build a positive work culture, and deliver outstanding guest experiences—every time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the General Manager in all aspects of day-to-day operations
- Oversee bar operations, including inventory management, product selection, vendor relations, and cost control
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, alcohol service laws, and company standards
- Assist with scheduling, staffing, and training of front-of-house and bar team members
- Lead pre-shift meetings, coach team performance, and support continuous improvement
- Monitor and manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L analysis
- Ensure the highest level of customer service and guest satisfaction
- Foster a collaborative, respectful, and engaging team environment
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of management experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and bar operations
- Proven leadership and team development skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- ServSafe and/or TIPS certification preferred
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
