Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and a love for coffee, contributing to a welcoming café atmosphere. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items.
- Operate the POS system for processing transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Stay informed about new products and promotions to effectively engage customers in sales opportunities.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the coffee industry is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Familiarity with Square POS or other point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced café environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and passion for coffee culture is highly desirable.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
