Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional service in a fast-paced café environment. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items with precision and care.
- Operate the Square POS orToast POS systems for order processing and cash handling.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness in the café area, including food preparation surfaces, equipment, and dining areas to adhere to food safety standards.
- Assist in food preparation and serving of light snacks or pastries as needed.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while following proper cash handling procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance overall customer experience.
Experience
- Previous barista experience required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with coffee brewing techniques and equipment is advantageous.
- Experience in the food service industry with knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations are necessary.
