Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and inviting environment. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that each customer has a memorable experience while enjoying their favorite drinks.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction with their selections.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using the Aloha POS system.
- Follow food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the highest quality of products served.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance overall customer experience.
- Participate in training sessions to improve skills related to beverage preparation and customer service.
Skills
- Strong understanding of food safety practices in the food industry.
- Proficient in basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing sales effectively.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts to assist in inventory management.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy periods.
- Ability to provide help and support to customers in a friendly manner.
- Experience with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Previous experience in food handling or the food industry is advantageous but not required.
