At COLOMBINO Coffee, we serve more than just a cup of coffee—we deliver a taste of Colombian heritage through high-quality direct-trade coffee, cacao-to-chocolate drinks, and traditional foods like arepas, empanadas, and cheese breads. With three vibrant cafés across Pittsburgh and a passionate team of Colombian coffee experts, we aim to create an experience where every customer feels connected to the land and people behind every sip.
What You’ll Do?
As a COLOMBINO Barista, you are not just preparing drinks—you are an experience enhancer, storyteller, and culture ambassador. Your role includes:
- Crafting high-quality drinks with precision and pride—from pour overs to our signature cacao drinking chocolate.
- Educating customers on our coffee categories (Origins, Farmers Reserve, Superb Series), our panela-based syrups, and Colombian traditions.
- Delivering warm, personalized service, learning regulars’ names and building a community vibe.
- Upselling and suggesting food pairings, like breakfast arepas or empanadas with coffee.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization, following inventory, FIFO, and closing checklists.
- Contributing to a proactive team culture, staying productive even during slow periods.
- Learning and growing—we reward product knowledge, initiative, and commitment with higher pay and commission opportunities.
Who You Are
- You have a passion for coffee, people, and culture.
- You’re eager to learn about Colombian coffee, cacao, and food traditions.
- You have strong communication and hospitality skills.
- You’re reliable, organized, and clean, with a professional appearance.
- You’re proactive—you restock, clean, and find ways to help without being asked.
- You’re comfortable using iPads/Square POS and handling transactions.
- You speak English fluently; Spanish is a plus!
