Experience
- 1-3 years experience in a coffee shop required
- Latte art skills are required
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transactions.
- Familiarity with cash registers or POS systems, particularly TOAST POS, is a plus.
- Knowledge of food service practices and food handling regulations is beneficial.
- A genuine passion for coffee and customer service is essential for success in this role.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment and workstations.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and taking their orders accurately.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently using the cash register or Aloha POS system.
- Ensure compliance with food handling and safety regulations while preparing food items.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting needs to management.
- Engage with customers to create a friendly atmosphere, answering questions about menu items and making recommendations.
