Barista

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring that each customer has a delightful experience. This role requires strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate Square POS system for processing transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders, and offering assistance with menu selections.
• Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and register operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and health regulations to ensure the highest quality of products served.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other supplies.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the food service or coffee industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
• Strong customer service skills with an ability to engage positively with customers.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and sales techniques.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• A passion for coffee and eagerness to learn about different brewing techniques and beverage preparation.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 38 per week
