Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our dynamic team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment for our customers while delivering exceptional service and high-quality beverages. Your expertise in coffee preparation and customer interaction will contribute to an enjoyable experience for all patrons.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Operate the Aloha POS system for processing customer transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Assist customers with menu selections, providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling practices are followed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours while maintaining excellent service quality.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies; assist in restocking as needed.
- Engage with customers to foster a friendly atmosphere and encourage repeat visits.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and familiarity with various coffee types is highly desirable.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Understanding of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Experience with cash handling procedures is an asset.
