We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Barista / Beverage position to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong background in food service (not required). This role involves making all beverages, helping with food prep, supporting the server in taking orders, serving food, handling cash transactions, and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests. A solid understanding of food safety and sanitation practices is essential.

Responsibilities
- Make drinks to order in a timely fashion following provided recipes, striving for consistency
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring quality and presentation.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently using Toast POS
- Assist with food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards.
- Up-sell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area and bathroom, including bussing tables, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
- Manage time effectively to handle multiple tasks during peak hours.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns.
Experience
- Previous experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant is preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems (Toast & Square) is a plus.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food handling practices is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and processing transactions accurately.
- Experience in the food industry or retail math is beneficial.

$18+ per hour ($14.25 per hour PLUS tips (average $4 / hour depending on the day))
