Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Front of the House, Barista experience and kitchen experience is a plus, to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee-based beverages and providing excellent customer service as well as preparing sandwiches and crepes. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve coffee-based beverages, such as lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately (TBD)
- Prepare sandwiches based on schedule needs
- Kitchen prep
- Cleaning
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
- Create seasonal drinks
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain proper hygiene standards
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures
- Assist with food preparation and handle food items as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues or concerns
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred not mandatory
- Handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
- Experience with POS system is a plus
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure quality beverage preparation
- Knowledge of food safety practices and ability to follow proper hygiene standards
- Kitchen experience
