Position Overview
We are seeking a friendly, adaptable, and reliable Barista/Event Lead to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys engaging with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has the confidence to serve events on their own. As a Barista/Event Lead, you will represent Rowena Coffee at events, helping us deliver exceptional service and high-quality drinks while maintaining the fun and professional vibe we’re known for, along with supporting the backend tasks of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Beverage Preparation: Craft high-quality espresso-based drinks, teas, and other beverages while meeting guests’ preferences and maintaining efficiency.
- Guest Engagement: Provide exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming and memorable experience for every guest.
- Cart Maintenance: Keep the coffee cart clean, organized, and stocked throughout the event.
- Physical Requirements: Safely lift and move heavy equipment (up to 65 lbs), including the coffee machine and cart.
- Adaptability: Work outdoors and stand for extended periods, sometimes in varying weather conditions.
- Operations Support: Assist with behind-the-scenes tasks including event prep, picking up supplies, and transporting the cart and equipment as needed.
Qualifications
- Requirements:
- 1+ years of barista experience at a specialty coffee shop.
- Ability to handle fast-paced environments with ease.
- Availability to work weekday mornings and occasional weekends.

Additional Details
Most events take place during weekday mornings, and on the weekends with occasional full-day events. We typically serve in the Phoenix metro area, but will occasionally travel to other parts of Arizona for events. Our ideal candidate will have a flexible and open schedule to be able to accommodate the unpredictability of our event schedule.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
