Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to standard recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment and workstations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and taking their orders accurately.
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy in sales.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and maintain compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.
- Engage with customers to promote new products and encourage repeat business.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or café environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and providing accurate change.
- Familiarity with POS systems or cash registers is a plus.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety standards is essential.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills related to coffee preparation and sales techniques.
