About Us: The Market at The Meetinghouse is a new community gathering spot in the charming Ridgebury hamlet of Ridgefield. We will feature La Colombe coffee, healthy snacks, and wholesome breakfast and lunch options as well as a small market offering locally produced groceries and gifts.
We’re hiring skilled and engaging baristas to join our team and help us create a warm, friendly atmosphere for all who visit.
Responsibilities:
- Craft excellent coffee, tea, and espresso beverages.
- Provide exceptional customer service, getting to know regulars and welcoming all guests as members of our special community.
- Serve our house made pastries, sandwiches, salads, and soups and ensure an enjoyable dining experience.
- Keep the café clean, organized, and inviting—helping create a space where people love to gather.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately and provide thoughtful recommendations to customers.
- Work closely with the team to ensure smooth operations during busy shifts, especially mornings, afternoons, and weekends.
- Support the overall café vibe, maintaining a calm, friendly, and positive environment.
Requirements:
- Proven barista experience with the ability to create high-quality espresso drinks and latte art.
- Enthusiasm for healthy food and beverages.
- Friendly, approachable demeanor with a genuine desire to connect with people and be part of the Ridgebury community.
- Ability to thrive in a busy environment, balancing customer service with preparing coffee and food.
- Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, and weekends, as well as occasional holidays or special events.
