ABOUT THE ROLE
A Whole World of Good is a 10,000 sq ft destination marketplace in the heart of La Porte’s historic district—home to a craft coffee bar, gourmet mercantile, artisan gift shop, elevated clothing boutique, and a peaceful 3,000 sq ft upstairs community lounge.
We’re hiring three emotionally steady, high-EQ, fast-moving, people-loving shopkeepers to join our hospitality team. This is a part-time role covering afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts only—perfect for college students, second-income earners, or anyone looking for meaningful, high-integrity work in a beautiful place.
This role is part barista, part shopkeeper, part brand ambassador—and all heart.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Craft high-quality espresso drinks using our exclusive recipes and in-house syrups
Follow proprietary prep methods for syrups and seasonal ingredients
Serve guests with warmth, steadiness, and a sense of joy—even during peak hours
Run the register, process payments, and close the store independently
Clean, restock, and reset the bar and retail areas at the end of shift
Create simple, brand-aligned social content (Instagram & Facebook)
Help maintain peace, beauty, and order across all store areas
Support seasonal displays, in-store events, and product launches

REQUIREMENTS
Afternoon, evening, weekend, and holiday availability required
Must be able to work Black Friday and Christmas Eve
Able to lift up to 45 lbs, stay on your feet, and move quickly with care
Emotionally intelligent, observant, calm, and kind under pressure
Must be 18+ with reliable transportation
Experience in barista work, retail, or social media is a plus—but not required
Must be able to close the store responsibly and independently

SCHEDULE & HOURS
Store currently operates 7 days/week, closing at 6 PM
Weekend shifts begin at 6 AM
We are expanding Friday and Saturday hours to 10 PM — evening coverage is critical
This position is part-time with scheduling flexibility before hire
