The Franconia Inn is looking for an experienced bartender / server to join our team. We have a busy, charming Pub and dining room where we serve both Inn guests and local diners. Our bartenders are responsible for providing prompt, friendly, knowledgeable service to help create great dining and event experiences for all of our greats and create loyal, repeat visitors.
Bartenders prepare and serve guests exceptional alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages in a friendly and timely manner by selecting the ingredients, appropriate glasses and garnishes. They also take dinner orders and serve food to diners. Our bartenders are reponsible for managing bar stock, transporting ingredients, prepping garnishes all while maintaining a sanitary environment and following all state liquor guidelines.
Skills and abilities include at least one year of bartending experience, a positive attitude and great communication skills in order to work cooperatively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have a strong working knowledge of Mixology, glassware, garnishes, bar maintenance, basic math, and mastering our point of sale system and be willing to mix and serve drinks according to the standards and recipes created by our F&B manager.
Minimum experience is 1+ years bartending experience.
Our bartenders are expected to:
- Show up on time each and every day
- Set up bar for evening service
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Plan and present bar and dinner menu
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experiencet
