Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals, particularly children, who have developmental disabilities and autism. Your primary responsibility will be to implement behavioral therapy techniques under the supervision of a licensed professional. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing support and guidance in their daily activities.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles.
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior changes.
- Provide direct support to clients during therapy sessions and daily activities.
- Assist in patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including medical records and intake forms.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with other team members, including special education professionals and healthcare providers.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social skills and independence.
Skills
- Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and principles.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Proficiency in data collection methods related to behavior analysis.
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies for working with individuals with disabilities.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation, and patient care protocols.
- Ability to conduct patient assessments and participate in intake processes.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and team members.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $23.32 - $28.08 per hour
