Our Behavioral Health Home (BHH) program is a key part of our mission to provide coordinated, comprehensive care to adults with complex behavioral health needs.
We’re seeking a BHH Program Coordinator to serve as both a leader and care team member, guiding a team of professionals while directly supporting a client caseload. This hybrid role combines clinical care, administrative leadership, and community engagement, making it a great fit for someone who thrives in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Program & Team Leadership
- Carry a small BHH caseload to stay grounded in client-centered care
- Provide on-site and virtual leadership to team members statewide
- Collaborate closely with Clinical Supervisors to ensure quality service delivery
- Lead team meetings, trainings, and case consultations
- Monitor dashboards and documentation for compliance and quality assurance
Program Operations & Strategy
- Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and time-off requests
- Partner with internal departments (billing, intake, IT, People Ops) to improve workflows
- Support onboarding and ongoing training in partnership with our Training & Implementation Specialist
- Assist in developing and refining BHH policies and procedures
- Utilize program data to identify trends and inform continuous improvement
Community Engagement & Growth
- Represent AWS at community events, partner meetings, and outreach efforts
- Build strong referral networks with healthcare providers and local organizations
- Promote awareness of the BHH program through strategic outreach
- Use feedback from clients, staff, and partners to inform program enhancements
Supervision & Support
- Ensure BHH team members are receiving adequate supervision and consultation
- Collaborate with BHH nurses and supervisors for high-need or urgent client cases
- Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and team-wide responsibility

Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related behavioral health field required.
- Master’s degree (MSW, MHC, or related) strongly preferred. • MHRT-C certification required (or Level A/B with plan for full certification).
- Minimum of three years of experience in behavioral health, including at least one year in a supervisory, lead, or program coordination role.
- Demonstrated competence in integrated behavioral health models, care coordination, co-occurring conditions, and client-centered planning.
- Administrative skills in scheduling, documentation review, onboarding, and interdepartmental collaboration.
- Proficiency in EHR systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and virtual communication platforms.
- Must pass all applicable background checks (criminal, child protective, and sex offender registries) and not appear on any exclusion lists.
- Valid Maine Driver’s License and a good driving record required.
