Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to security, utilizing surveillance techniques and conflict management skills to prevent loss and ensure safety.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Operate and maintain CCTV systems to ensure effective surveillance coverage.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, taking appropriate action as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of premises to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide assistance during emergencies, including administering CPR and first aid when necessary.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required for investigations or incidents.
- Document all incidents accurately in reports
- Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing de-escalation techniques when necessary.
Qualifications
- Must possess a current BSIS Guard Card, BSIS Baton Permit and pepper spray certification.
- Must be able to ride a bicycle.
- CPR and First Aid certification is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in operating CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and techniques is a plus.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is beneficial but not required.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Able to pass a drug test and background check
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Schedule Available:
Night Shift - 11:30pm to 8:00am
