Job Summary
The Assistant Director will oversee evening operations, ensure licensing compliance, maintain high-quality care standards, and complete administrative duties. This role requires excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Evening/Night Care Management
- Supervise night care operations to ensure safety and quality care.
- Be flexible to work dayshifts as needed
Administrative Support
- Help maintain accurate child and staff records.
- Support enrollment processes, including tours and family orientations.
- Assist with billing, invoicing, and payment processing as needed.
- Prepare reports, track attendance, and assist with compliance paperwork.
General Duties
- Foster a positive, collaborative work culture.
- Support training and development of staff.
- Step into classrooms as needed to ensure ratios are met.
Qualifications
- Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in child care, early childhood education, or a related administrative role.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of child care licensing regulations preferred.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
- Ability to work evening/night hours.
- Support and guide staff during evening shifts.
- Address parent concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, health, and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making in an educational context.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
